We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our growing team at Cognizant. In this role, you will design and develop enterprise-grade applications, lead technical initiatives, and contribute to the continuous evolution of our technology platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance microservices solutions that drive real business value.
Qualifications
● 6+ years of professional Java development experience in enterprise environments.
● Strong proficiency with Spring Boot and microservices architecture — design, development, and operations.
● Hands-on experience with Jenkins CI/CD — building, maintaining, and optimizing pipelines.
● Practical experience with Kubernetes — deployment, scaling, configuration, and troubleshooting.
● Solid understanding of REST API design principles and web service integration patterns.
● Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
● Familiarity with containerization using Docker.
ADVANCED ENGLISH IS A MUST

Responsibilities:
● Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and microservices using Spring Boot.
● Lead and contribute to end-to-end feature development, from requirements gathering to production deployment.
● Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to ensure reliable and rapid delivery cycles.
● Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications on Kubernetes clusters.
● Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and uphold high standards for code quality and security.
● Collaborate with architects, product owners, and QA engineers to ensure alignment with business goals.
● Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues; implement proactive monitoring and alerting.
● Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and technical documentation.
● Integrate AI-assisted development tools to enhance developer productivity and code quality.
● Ensure adherence to industry standards including security, compliance, and data privacy requirements.
