Geospatial Manager MAP

Job summary

Serve as a Geospatial Manager MAP responsible for designing developing and optimizing interactive map driven web applications using Next Js TypeScript HTML and CSS in a hybrid work model. Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate geospatial requirements into scalable solutions that improve decision making and deliver positive outcomes for clients and communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of geospatial web applications using Next Js TypeScript HTML and CSS to deliver highly responsive and accessible map centric user experiences that support diverse client needs and business objectives.
• Develop reusable front end components and geospatial UI patterns that streamline map interactions such as panning zooming and layer toggling to ensure efficient performance and an intuitive experience for users.
• Coordinate with product owners data scientists and geospatial analysts to translate complex spatial requirements into clear technical specifications and robust implementation plans that align with project goals.
• Optimize application performance for large scale spatial datasets by tuning rendering strategies improving bundle sizes and refining client side data handling to maintain smooth interactions on modern browsers.
• Implement robust state management and routing patterns within Next Js applications to support dynamic map views dashboards and workflows that help users derive timely insights from geospatial information.
• Integrate secure and efficient APIs and geospatial services with front end components to enable data driven layers map overlays and analytics features that drive actionable decisions for customers.
• Apply responsive design principles with CSS and HTML to ensure map interfaces and supporting pages display consistently across devices while maintaining high usability for all users.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and implement quality assurance practices that uphold coding standards security guidelines and accessibility conventions across all geospatial interfaces.
• Collaborate with UX specialists to refine visual design color schemes and interaction flows for map centric screens so that complex spatial information is communicated clearly and ethically to a broad audience.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including component libraries architectural diagrams and implementation guides to support long term maintainability and efficient onboarding of project contributors.
• Analyze user feedback telemetry and usage analytics from map applications to identify improvement opportunities and implement enhancements that increase user satisfaction and operational value.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to support automated builds testing and deployments for Next Js based geospatial solutions in accordance with organizational standards.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy standards and organizational policies when handling geospatial datasets so that map features provide insight while protecting sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Possess eight to eleven years of professional experience in web application development with a strong focus on modern JavaScript frameworks and delivery of production ready solutions.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Next Js including server side rendering routing data fetching and performance optimization techniques applied to complex interactive applications.
• Show strong command of TypeScript with rigorous typing practices that improve reliability maintainability and scalability of geospatial front end codebases.
• Exhibit expert level skills in HTML and CSS including semantic markup responsive layouts and modular styling approaches that ensure consistent and accessible user interfaces.
• Apply solid understanding of geospatial concepts map tiling layers projections and interaction patterns to build intuitive web mapping experiences that meet diverse stakeholder needs.
• Display experience working in hybrid work environments using collaborative tools to coordinate effectively with distributed teams across product engineering and data disciplines.
• Utilize strong communication and documentation abilities to explain technical decisions to both technical and nontechnical partners supporting shared understanding and successful project delivery.
• Show familiarity with common mapping libraries or platforms and related front end integration approaches enabling efficient visualization of spatial data in web applications.
