Job Summary
Sr Test Analyst role focused on validating complex billing and revenue management platforms using WebServices testing SoapUI and Rest API tools with Telecom Domain(Mandatory). The role involves designing robust test cases executing service level validations and collaborating closely with cross functional teams in a work from office day shift model to ensure high quality releases for critical enterprise billing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design detailed test scenarios and cases for web services based billing and revenue management applications that address functional accuracy data integrity and customer centric outcomes
- Execute comprehensive web services tests using SoapUI to validate request and response structures data mappings and business rule enforcement for billing workflows
- Perform Rest API validation by verifying endpoints payloads authentication flows and response codes to ensure resilient and predictable service behavior
- Coordinate closely with developers product analysts and operations partners to clarify billing requirements resolve defects and reduce cycle time for releases
- Review requirement artifacts user stories and interface specifications to derive traceable test conditions that cover end to end billing and revenue use cases
- Manage test data creation for complex billing scenarios including customer profiles price plans discounts adjustments invoices and payment events to ensure realistic coverage
- Document defects with precise steps logs and service payloads while collaborating on impact assessment and retest activities to support timely resolution
- Monitor test execution metrics such as coverage pass rates defect trends and retest efforts and share insights that drive continuous quality improvements in billing services
- Contribute to regression test suites for web services and Rest APIs ensuring that critical billing and revenue functionalities remain stable across frequent releases
- Apply domain knowledge of billing and revenue management to validate rating invoicing taxation and revenue recognition rules that directly influence financial accuracy
- Conduct integration tests across upstream and downstream systems to ensure consistent data flows between billing engines customer management portals and financial reporting tools
- Adhere to defined quality processes documentation standards and work from office expectations while operating exclusively in day shift assignments without travel commitments
- Support user acceptance activities by explaining service behaviors reproducing defects and providing evidence that builds confidence in new billing capabilities for business stakeholders
- Provide suggestions for test automation candidates at the service layer that can optimize regression efforts and enhance long term maintainability of quality assets
Qualifications
- Possess professional experience in web services testing with proven use of SoapUI and Rest API tools for enterprise scale applications
- Demonstrate sound understanding of billing and revenue management processes such as rating billing cycles usage aggregation adjustments discounts and revenue posting
- Exhibit practical exposure to XML JSON and related formats used in service requests and responses with ability to quickly interpret and validate data structures
- Bring working knowledge of defect management tools and test management platforms with focus on traceability from requirements through test cases and defects
- Show capability to write clear test cases comprehensive test data sheets and concise execution reports tailored for both technical and business audiences
- Display strong analytical skills to investigate service issues understand root causes and articulate findings that help technical teams deliver reliable fixes
- Communicate effectively in a collaborative team environment while operating in a structured work from office model and adapting to evolving business priorities
