Job Summary
This hybrid role for a Technical Lead requires nine to twelve years of experience in ServiceNow ITOM Visibility and core iSeries and AS400 technologies including SQLRPGLE and DB2 400. The role focuses on architecting robust solutions for Property and Casualty insurance operations ensuring reliable platforms optimized workflows and high quality delivery that supports business resilience and customer trust.
Responsibilities
- Drive end to end technical solutions using ServiceNow ITOM Visibility and AS400 platforms to support critical Property and Casualty insurance processes and ensure stable operational performance
- Oversee design and enhancement of core applications built with SQLRPGLE and AS400 RPG to deliver reliable policy administration and claims processing capabilities for business teams
- Coordinate configuration and optimization of ServiceNow discovery and visibility features to improve infrastructure insight and reduce incident resolution time across hybrid environments
- Manage iSeries and AS400 administration activities including system monitoring capacity planning and job scheduling to maintain secure high performing platforms for insurance applications
- Implement DB2 400 data models and query strategies that improve data accessibility accuracy and reporting quality for underwriting claims and finance stakeholders
- Guide technical troubleshooting efforts for complex platform and application issues to minimize downtime and preserve consistent service quality for internal and external customers
- Facilitate collaboration between technology and insurance domain experts to align solutions with regulatory standards risk practices and operational needs in Property and Casualty business lines
- Develop reusable components integration patterns and coding standards across AS400 ecosystems to reduce technical debt and improve long term maintainability of core systems
- Establish robust controls for configuration management and deployment processes across ServiceNow and AS400 environments to support predictable releases and lower operational risk
- Mentor team members on best practices in SQLRPGLE AS400 RPG and DB2 400 usage to raise technical proficiency and enhance the overall effectiveness of the delivery team
- Coordinate hybrid work practices by using digital collaboration tools and structured communication routines to ensure consistent progress regardless of physical location
- Analyze system performance and capacity metrics across AS400 and ServiceNow platforms to identify optimization opportunities and support future scalability for growing insurance workloads
- Document solution designs configuration decisions and operational procedures in clear and accessible formats to support audit needs and knowledge transfer for ongoing operations
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong experience in ServiceNow ITOM Visibility with practical application in complex enterprise environments focused on operational resilience and observability
- Bring advanced skills in CLLE and SQLRPGLE development with a history of building and maintaining transaction heavy applications on iSeries and AS400 platforms for insurance operations
- Show deep expertise in AS400 administration including security configuration backup strategies and performance tuning tailored to mission critical workloads
- Apply solid understanding of DB2 400 features indexing strategies and query optimization techniques to support reliable data services across core insurance functions
- Exhibit proven proficiency in AS400 RPG programming for policy claims and billing systems with attention to reliability maintainability and alignment with business rules
- Possess substantial domain knowledge in Property and Casualty insurance including policy lifecycle claims handling rating considerations and regulatory constraints influencing system design
Certifications Required
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist ITOM plus any relevant IBM i or AS400 administration certification
