Design and evolve robust distributed systems as an Architect with deep expertise in Kafka AWS and modern Java including Springboot Java 21 Java 11 Core and Advanced Java operating in a hybrid day shift environment. Responsibilities
- Design scalable event driven architectures using Kafka that support high volume data streams and ensure resilient communication between critical microservices in complex enterprise ecosystems.
- Architect cloud native solutions on AWS that optimize cost performance and security while aligning with organizational standards and long term technology roadmaps.
- Define and maintain application architecture patterns using Java Springboot and modern Java versions to ensure consistency reliability and ease of maintenance across distributed systems.
- Develop reference implementations and reusable components in Core Java and Advanced Java that accelerate delivery and promote standardization across multiple product teams.
- Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear architectural blueprints and technical designs that deliver measurable outcomes.
- Review solution designs and code implementations to verify adherence to architecture principles performance targets and security guidelines across Kafka AWS and Java services.
- Provide hands on guidance to engineering teams on best practices for Kafka topics partitions consumer groups and streaming patterns to enhance throughput and fault tolerance.
- Optimize AWS infrastructure including compute storage and networking configurations to achieve high availability observability and efficient resource utilization for all solutions.
- Analyze system performance metrics and production incidents to identify architectural improvements that reduce latency improve stability and strengthen overall platform resilience.
- Document architecture decisions integration patterns and technology standards in a clear and accessible manner to support knowledge sharing and long term maintainability.
- Engage in hybrid collaboration routines including on site design workshops and remote reviews to ensure architectural alignment across geographically distributed teams.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance requirements by embedding secure coding practices and robust access controls into all Kafka AWS and Java based designs.
- Drive continuous improvement by assessing emerging features in Java 21 and Springboot and proposing targeted adoption strategies that deliver tangible business value.
Qualifications
- Bring extensive practical experience in Kafka including designing topics configuring clusters and managing streaming pipelines for mission critical applications.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in AWS services relevant to distributed architectures such as compute storage networking and managed databases with a focus on reliability and cost efficiency.
- Exhibit advanced skills in Java Springboot and modern Java versions including Java 21 and Java 11 with a proven ability to build secure performant backend services.
- Show deep understanding of Core Java and Advanced Java concepts including concurrency collections and memory management applied to large scale enterprise systems.
- Apply solid knowledge of microservices architecture integration patterns and API design to build modular extensible and easily testable solutions.
- Utilize strong experience in hybrid work models to collaborate effectively across remote and on site settings while maintaining high communication standards and delivery quality.
- Leverage excellent problem solving and analytical abilities to diagnose complex system issues and propose practical architectural enhancements that align with business priorities.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka or equivalent cloud and streaming credentials.
