And now, we’re looking for our next colleague who’ll join us in shaping the future of business. Could it be you?
About the role
As a Senior Consulting Manager, Palantir Chain Reaction Utility Transformation, you will make an impact by providing senior advisory, solution leadership, and delivery governance for a major utility transformation program powered by Palantir’s AI infrastructure operating system.
This role requires a combination of hands-on Palantir platform expertise across Foundry, AIP, Ontology, Pipeline Builder, and Workshop, together with utility domain knowledge across speed-to-power, grid operations, and storm and emergency management.
You will translate the utility client’s operational priorities into Palantir-native data models, workflows, applications, and AI-enabled solutions. You will also serve as the primary techno-functional lead connecting utility operations leadership, engineering, IT/OT teams, data stakeholders, and platform delivery teams.
Project context
Chain Reaction is a Palantir initiative launched in December 2025 to help build an operating system for American AI infrastructure. The program brings together Palantir’s AI and data platform capabilities with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing technologies to support critical infrastructure providers responding to growing energy and infrastructure demands.
For this utility client, Chain Reaction builds upon existing Palantir-enabled storm response and grid resiliency capabilities. The program is expanding into speed-to-power, large-load interconnection, grid operations, and operational visibility across critical utility assets to help address significant load growth within the Greater Houston area.
In this role, you will support and extend Chain Reaction use cases already in operation, including storm and emergency response coordination, mutual-assistance crew onboarding and deployment, and asset data integration. You will also help design, build, and scale new use cases across speed-to-power, grid operations, and AI-enabled infrastructure delivery using Palantir Foundry, AIP Ontology, and NVIDIA’s accelerated computing ecosystem.
In this role, you will:
- Own the delivery, stabilization, and continuous improvement of live Palantir-enabled workflows supporting storm response coordination, mutual-assistance crew deployment, and utility asset data integration.
- Lead the identification, design, and implementation of new Chain Reaction use cases across speed-to-power, grid operations, storm management, and AI-enabled infrastructure delivery.
- Build and extend Foundry Ontology models covering grid assets, work orders, outages, crews, weather, construction, and interconnection data.
- Design and configure Workshop applications, operational dashboards, geospatial workflows, and AIP-powered agents for field, dispatch, engineering, operations, and executive users.
- Define and oversee batch and streaming data pipelines integrating GIS, SCADA, OMS/ADMS, WMS/EAM, AMI, ERP, weather, construction, and other enterprise utility systems.
- Translate business and operational needs into functional requirements, epics, user stories, ontology data models, test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and prioritized roadmaps.
- Facilitate design and prioritization workshops with operations, engineering, dispatch, field services, IT/OT, data, platform delivery, and executive stakeholders.
- Govern delivery execution, including backlog and dependency management, release planning, RAID reporting, testing, cutover, hypercare, training, adoption, and benefits realization.
- Define and monitor operational KPIs covering energization cycle time, outage restoration, mutual-aid deployment speed, data quality, platform adoption, and utility reliability.
- Establish platform governance standards for Ontology modelling, security and permissions, version control, code review, solution reusability, and deployment practices.
What you must have to be considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in utilities consulting, grid modernization, distribution operations, or large-scale utility program delivery.
- 4+ years of hands-on Palantir Foundry and AIP experience, including Ontology design, Pipeline Builder, Code Workbooks or repositories, PySpark, SQL, and application development.
- Experience leading techno-functional workstreams that connect utility operations, engineering, IT/OT, data, and platform engineering stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of North American electric utility operations across speed-to-power, large-load interconnection, grid operations, and storm or emergency management.
- Experience integrating enterprise utility systems such as GIS, SCADA, OMS/ADMS, WMS/EAM, AMI, ERP, weather, and construction platforms.
- Strong requirements management experience covering epics, features, user stories, functional specifications, ontology data models, test scenarios, traceability, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery, release planning, dependency management, RAID reporting, platform governance, change management, and benefits realization.
- Strong consulting communication, executive storytelling, workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and structured problem-solving skills.
These will help you succeed
- Experience building AIP Logic, AIP Agents, or LLM-powered workflows grounded in Ontology data, including prompt design and operational evaluation.
- Experience developing Workshop applications, Slate interfaces, Contour or Quiver analytics, and map-based or geospatial workflows.
- Knowledge of speed-to-power processes from load request and engineering design through construction, commissioning, interconnection, and energization.
- Understanding of control center operations, switching, feeder and substation coordination, distribution automation, FLISR, VVO, and DERMS.
- Knowledge of storm preparedness, outage lifecycle management, crew dispatch, restoration prioritization, and mutual-assistance mobilization.
- Familiarity with utility reliability measures such as SAIFI, SAIDI, CAIDI, CMI, and CEMI.
- Working knowledge of NVIDIA technologies, including Nemotron models and CUDA-X libraries, within enterprise AI and data-platform environments.
- Palantir Foundry certification, such as Data Engineer or Solution Architect, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Advanced degree or professional certification such as PMP, Agile, Scrum, or SAFe.
- Experience working in the Texas or ERCOT utility market.
