About the Role

As a Billing Support Specialist, you will drive impactful contributions and focus on outcomes. You will be a key member of the finance and operations team, collaborating with Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate invoicing. You will have the autonomy to identify and resolve billing issues, improve workflows, and uphold our commitment to quality and continuous learning.

In this role, you will:

Provide billing support to Project Managers by preparing and issuing invoices in accordance with customer requirements and project billing schedules.
Respond to billing inquiries and resolve invoice-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
Review billing information for accuracy and ensure compliance with customer guidelines and internal processes.
Utilize strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot billing discrepancies and recommend solutions.
Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding billing matters.

What You Must Have to Be Considered

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to work overtime as needed, specifically from the 1st through the 4th of each month, regardless of whether those dates fall on a weekday, weekend, or holiday.

These Will Help You Succeed

Experience supporting invoicing, billing, or accounts receivable functions.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Experience working with financial systems and reporting tools.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until October 24,2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 - $65,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
