About the role
As a Guidewire Tester, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality, performance, and stability of solutions built on the Guidewire InsuranceNow platform. You will be a valued member of an Agile delivery team and work collaboratively with Developers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, and Product stakeholders to validate new functionality, integrations, and enhancements that support critical insurance operations.
In this role, you will:
• Design, develop, and execute automated, functional, integration, and regression test cases for Guidewire InsuranceNow enhancements and defect fixes.
• Validate InsuranceNow configurations including rating rules, underwriting workflows, policy changes, and forms generation.
• Test REST API integrations between InsuranceNow and external systems such as agent portals, insured portals, and third party data providers.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure testability and coverage.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, release validation, and UAT support activities.
• Support production issue investigation by validating defects and contributing to root cause analysis.

What you need to have to be considered
• Experience testing Guidewire InsuranceNow implementations.
• Strong experience in test automation, including object oriented automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands on experience using automation and performance testing tools such as Selenium, Java, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, k6, or similar.
• Experience validating REST APIs, JSON payloads, and integration workflows.
• Solid understanding of test planning, test case development, regression testing, and defect tracking.
• Ability to support testing during platform upgrades, releases, and production deployments.
These will help you stand out
• Familiarity with SQL and database validation.
• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance processes, including policy lifecycle, rating, underwriting, billing, and endorsements.
• Strong collaboration skills within Agile delivery teams.
• Experience supporting UAT and release readiness activities.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until May 12, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 - $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
